Causes of fissure formation in fish plate

Fish Plate as a very important railway accessories,it can be divided into different types according to the material,model and so on,such as 18kg fish plate,cast iron fishtail plate and so on. The crack is an important factor that causes the damage of fishplate in the process of using.However,there are many factors that cause fissure crack,but they are inseparable from the interaction between the rail surface. The formation of fissure crack is closely related to the interaction between fissure and rail surface.The bolted fishplate and rail joint is not a rigid whole in actual working condition.The impact of the wheel,the existence of rail joints,especially the decrease of tightening force caused by the wear between the rail and fishplate,will cause or aggravate the mutual rolling between the fishplate and rail,resulting in surface deformation.This accumulation of deformation provides a great opportunity for the initiation of fissure surface cracks.Among them,the interaction state mainly affects the location and time of crack origin,and the loading condition and material condition more determine the mode and rate of crack growth.
